Ultrasound Guided Examination of the Heart

An echocardiogram uses sound waves to view sensitive details of the heart while it is beating inside the chest.  The study is identical to the ultrasound technology used to view images of a fetus during a mother’s pregnancy.  There is no radiation exposure, side effects, or any other dangers posed by the examination or as a result of the study.  There are no specific preparations for the test and the entire procedure can be done in as little as 15 minutes.

Heart Disease

Echocardiography can be used by your physician to view any damage that may have happened to your heart.  It can measure the size and function of your heart.

Common heart ailments can be detected long before any symptoms develop and can be used to prevent symptoms or deterioration of your heart.

Cardiac Ultrasound can also be used to look at the valves and their function.  Many patients may actually have a leak or blockage of a heart valve and not know about it.

Mobile Convenience

State of the art echocardiography that previously was only available in the hospital or at a cardiologists office can now be done closer to home at one of our convenient offices.

We are accredited by the ICAEL, a national accrediting body for echocardiography.  We are also accredited by the ICANL and ICAVL for our Nuclear Cardiology and Vascular Laboratories.
